Tuchel Stay Until End Of The Season
LONDON: Thomas Tuchel has insisted he will remain at Chelsea until the end of the season, but the Blues manager is unsure whether he will continue with the club after that.
Chelsea forgot for a moment the problems surrounding the club following the suspension of owner Roman Abramovich by beating Newcastle 1-0 as a result of Kai Havertz’s last-minute goal.
Chelsea have been badly affected by the suspension of the Russian millionaire, leaving them unable to sign new players, renew existing player contracts or sell match tickets.
If Chelsea are unable to find a new owner in the near future, Tuchel will reportedly consider leaving Stamford Bridge.
The German operator has led Chelsea to the Champions League and Club World Cup since taking over the club, and he has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
“There is no doubt I will stay until the end of the season. We just have to wait day after day because everything can change.
“The club is going to be sold and I hope it can be settled. So have to wait from day to day, where it’s a great way to live life,” Tuchel said.
The way Tuchel celebrated Havertz’s winning goal signals that he is still eager to continue guiding the team.
But with United still looking for a permanent manager to replace Ralf Rangnick this summer, the Chelsea boss’s name will fill the list of candidates at Old Trafford.
