RFEF in a statement said Spain captain Busquets, 32, tested positive yesterday while others tested negative. Those with close contact with the Barcelona planner will be excluded.

Spain will conduct an individual training program ahead of the Euro 2020 competition which starts this Friday.

Spain’s first game is against Sweden on June 14 and manager Luis Enrique has until Saturday to make a change to his squad.

“Certain measures will be evaluated based on the situation of the national team captain,” the RFEF said.

Busquets collected 120 caps with Spain and helped his country win the 2010 World Cup as well as Euro 2012.

He also won eight La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues with Barcelona, as well as several other trophies.
