Andrea Pirlo labeling Juventus have proved that they can weather any situation after beating Sassuolo 3-1 to continue to ignite their hopes of grabbing the top four of Serie A.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala each found the finish for the Portuguese star to record his 100th goal of the season, while Adrien Rabiot also scored as Pirlo’s side recovered from a 0-3 defeat to Milan last weekend.

The result puts the Bianconeri in fifth place, one point behind Napoli who are also eyeing their last Champions League (UCL) qualifier with two games remaining, but their performance at the Mapei Stadium earlier this morning injected confidence into Pirlo.

“Often times we don’t show real rhythm, it’s not enough when donning this jersey,” he told DAZN.

“If you’re focused and have the right mindset, you can face a situation like tonight.

“We still have hope, we will believe it until the end of the season.”

Juventus need to prepare to meet newly crowned Serie A champions Inter at the Allianz Stadium at midnight this week, before facing Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final, then against Bologna on the final day of the league.

Pirlo admitted the pressure was mounting due to inconsistent performances, thus loosening their grip on the Scudetto for nine years.

“We have struggled in the last few games,” he said when commenting on two wins in five games before sinking Sassuolo.

“That’s what bothers me the most considering the pressure at Juve is different: when you fall behind, you receive the consequences.

“Now we have to recover energy for the next action. Then we will study the approach to face the rest of the match.”
