LONDON: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists he does not know about the net drought problem facing star striker Sadio Mane at the moment.

In fact, Klopp said he would ‘lose everything’ if asked to bet for the Senegalese striker who only scored one goal in his last 10 games.

Mane made a great attack in the recent 7-0 win over Crystal Palace, to mark the end of the curse in front of goal.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s clash with West Brom, Klopp laughed about Mane’s long-running scorecard, before admitting he did not care.

The Liverpool boss told reporters: “I did not realize it! Honestly I would lose everything if I bet for how many goals Sadio Mane scored in the last 10 games.

“I did not know he only scored one goal. A few seconds ago we talked about (Liverpool have) the best goal difference we have in the league then I realized one of our best players, one of the best players in the world did not score for a while. Who who cares? ”

Klopp then praised Mane, insisting that the consistency of his performances remained high and always helped the team win the match.

“He played well, he was in very good condition, difficult to defend,” Klopp added.

“If Sadio has the ball, as an opponent, you have to put two, three players by his side and this opens up a lot of things for us.”
