LONDON: Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has warned clubs hunting for Harry Kane as the future of the England captain remains in question.

The striker reportedly wants to leave Spurs this season on a mission to win the first trophy of his career.

Despite winning the English Premier League (EPL) Golden Boot last season, Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League for two consecutive seasons.

And plus England’s defeat in the Euro 2020 final after losing to Italy last Monday, means the 27 -year -old continues to drought a major title in his career with his club and country.

EPL champions Manchester City have been linked with Kane to replace top scorer Sergio Aguero who moved to Barcelona on a free transfer.

However, Nuno, who replaces Jose Mourinho, believes the club’s most valuable player will return to pre -season training after returning from holiday.

“Harry is our player. There is no need to talk about anything else,” said the Portuguese coach, who was appointed on June 30 after two months of Mourinho’s sacking.

“Now it’s time for Harry to regain his energy. I can’t wait to see him join us. I’m happy to work with all the players.

“Harry is one of the best players in the world. That’s all I can say,” he said.
