MADRID: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said Valencia’s Mestalla stadium was like his own home after he blasted a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 4-1 win earlier this morning.

He also scored his last three goals against Valencia at the Mestalla in 2019 as Arsenal won 4-2 and advanced to the Europa League final.

“The last time was a hat -trick in the Europa League semi -final with Arsenal and today again, so Mestalla are like my own home,” said Aubameyang, who was awarded the third goal after an interview.

The Gabonese striker blasted twice in the first half and was awarded a third when Pedri’s long -range shot hit his back and slammed into the net.

It adds tonic ahead of the Europa League play -off against Napoli early this Friday morning. Barca drew 1-1 after their first leg at Camp Nou last week.

“I’m very happy today but most of all we won this match, so I’m very happy,” he said.

“I think we played well in a few games before but just lacked good results.

“We played well today and a very important win because we have a match this Thursday against Napoli.”
