Ronaldo: I’m Not Here For Vacation

MANCHESTER: Cristiano Ronaldo says he is not coming for a holiday, thus putting pressure on Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to drop him in the starting line -up against Newcastle tomorrow.

The 36 -year -old Portuguese legend returned to the club that made his name after moving from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

In an interview with former teammate Wes Brown at the Theater of Dreams pitch, Ronaldo said: “I’m happy to be back.

“I never thought of going back but I am so proud, excited and can’t wait to start in the best way possible.

“We are memories here, but this is a new era, a new generation and I am here to win back and help the team.

“Young players have potential and I’m here to win and make history.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner won three Premier League titles and one Champions League with United before joining Real Madrid in 2009.

“I’m not here for a holiday. I’m ready and I’m going to make history in the next three or four years,” he said.
