Rangnick Already Has Work Permit

LONDON: Manchester United have confirmed Ralf Rangnick has a work permit to begin his duties as the team’s new manager.

The 63 -year -old German operator will be introduced to the media on Friday and will start handling the team when they face Crystal Palace on Sunday.

“After the paperwork is completed, we will hold a face -to -face press conference session with Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford, 9am tomorrow,” United said in a statement.

United confirmed the appointment of Rangnick as a short -term replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Monday.

But Rangnick, who previously held the position of sports and development manager at Lokomotiv Moscow, will have to wait for his work permit before working at Old Trafford.

Interim manager Michael Carrick will continue to manage the team for the third time against Old Trafford after already managing the team against Villareal and Chelsea.

Rangnick will remain United manager until the end of the season before taking on the role of United adviser for two years.
