PARIS: Neymar left the field without waiting to be replaced after being abused several times as Paris Saint-Germain won 1-0 in the French Cup against second division club Caen this morning with coach Mauricio Pochettino saying the player was “sore in the thigh.”
The Brazilian striker, who was captain during the absence of Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe, was abused twice in three minutes.
He was clearly disappointed with Steeve Yago’s second rudeness and was seen arguing with Caen’s players.
After the match continued, Neymar continued to complain before exiting through the player tunnel to the dressing room in the 57th minute.
The world’s most expensive player was later replaced three minutes later by Kylian Mbappe.
“She is in pain in the thighs, we will see tomorrow whether she is injured or not,” Pochettino said. “We will see tomorrow after the scan test.
“I don’t want to talk about how our opponents play. But during the match, there is a feeling of lack of protection. But it’s not just this match.”
