Mourinho: Tottenham Lack Of Attacking Efforts

WOLVERHAMPTON, United Kingdom: Jose Mourinho says Tottenham lacked an attacking spirit that was not due to him after dropping more points during the 1-1 draw at Wolves today.

Spurs have now failed to win in four consecutive league games and have dashed their hopes of winning the league title for the first time in 60 years.

Mourinho’s side climbed to fifth, but remain six points behind leaders Liverpool.

Tottenham have dropped eight points by giving the equalizer in the last 10 minutes of the season, in fact the same situation happened against Newcastle, West Ham and Crystal Palace. They also conceded a goal in the 90th minute when they lost to Liverpool.

The visitors made a good start at Molineux when Tanguy Ndombele opened the scoring in the first minute.

But it is the same story for Mourinho as he faced Palace two weeks ago when they won 1-0 but were punished.

“We have no ambition, a desire to get more goals,” Mourinho said.

“One point against the Wolves normally is not a bad decision because they are strong opponents, but scoring in the first minute and having 89 minutes to score more goals, you will definitely be disappointed.

“Staying far behind, that’s not the main goal. They know what I want them to do in the first half, if they can’t play well, it’s because they can’t do it.”
