MANCHESTER: Manchester United may have to postpone their Premier League meeting with Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday following the escalation of the COVID-19 case in their squad.

The clash with Brentford last Tuesday has been postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 in Rald Rangnick’s squad.

United’s training center in Carrington also had to close last Monday with players ordered not to enter the camp for 24 hours.

Only those who tested negative were allowed to return to training on Wednesday. Among the players who returned to training was Victor Lindelof.

The center-back suffered a chest problem during the 1-0 win over Norwich. The 27 -year -old defender had to be replaced after having difficulty breathing.

United’s medical team rushed into the pitch and helped the Swede leave the pitch.

“It was a horrible match to watch and Victor was very upset after that. He underwent a lot of tests and his heart was monitored for two days to make sure everything was fine.

“Now everything is fine and we are still waiting for the final test results,” said Lindelof’s wife, Maja Nilsson.
