LEICESTER, United Kingdom: Leicester leap to the top of the English Premier League after beating Chelsea 2-0 at King Power Stadium.

Chelsea, who have won just two of the league’s last eight appearances, dropped eighth, nine points behind leaders, putting pressure on manager Frank Lampard.

Chelsea are expected to be the title contenders when spending big during the last transfer window.

On the other hand Leicester are seen as more authoritative to repeat their epic championship in the 2015-16 season.

A second title in five years is no longer a surprise for Leicester, although the financial gap between The Foxes and the top six Premier League teams is significant.

Leicester once again challenged the top group of the English top league after Brendan Rodgers took over the team almost two years ago.

Chelsea seemed to get a penalty kick when Christian Pulisic was fouled by Jonny Evans, but after a VAR assessment, rudeness was found to be outside the box.

Leicester then added a goal through James Maddison who got a long pass from Albrighton.
