LONDON: Tottenham expect Harry Kane to be ready for this weekend’s opening game against Manchester City, although he is desperate to join Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Kane has revealed his intention to leave Spurs, and has yet to return to train with teammates.
Talks between the two clubs found a dead end with Spurs refusing to release the star, and now the club has confirmed all players in the squad are ready to be brought down.
New Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo said: “All the players in the squad can be brought down. It’s up to us to choose the best squad.”
This week Kane returned to Spurs training camp and trained alone before joining the team.
He will also have to undergo quarantine after the England captain returns from holidays in Florida and the Bahamas.
