BERLIN: Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick admits the European champions’ mistake caused them to lose 3-2 in the Bundesliga match against Borussia Moenchengladbach this morning.

The league leaders suffered their second defeat of the season which could lead them to miss the top spot if second-placed RB Leipzig beat Borussia Dortmund early tomorrow morning.

“Gladbach was great, they made the most of the three mistakes we made,” Flick told DAZN.

“We played good football in the first 30 minutes and dominated the game, but small things determined the match – mistakes by us, lost the ball, bad defense.

“Individual mistakes bring consequences because they are punished and after 3-2, we are not able to rise as expected.

“We have to blame ourselves for this defeat.”

Bayern took a 2-0 lead after 26 minutes from Robert Lewandowski’s penalty and Leon Goretzka’s goal at Borussia Park.

However, Gladbach bounced back when midfielder Jonas Hofmann scored two goals to make it 2-2 before the break and then help Florian Neuhaus win after the break.
