LONDON: Arsenal star Pierre -Emerick Aubameyang could be dropped for tomorrow’s Europa League semi -finals – although he is not yet fully fit after contracting malaria.

Aubameyang has not played for the Gunners since earlier this month after contracting the disease during an international stint with Gabon.

The 31 -year -old is back in training but is still struggling to achieve overall fitness levels.

Yet with Alexandre Lacazette injured and manager Mikel Arteta only having a young striker as an option, Aubameyang’s services are sure to be billed at tomorrow’s meeting with Villareal.

His return will give an advantage to Arteta’s squad in the first round of this semi-final.
