Abraham Hat-trick Helps Chelsea Beat Luton
LONDON: Tammy Abraham eased pressure on Frank Lampard when he scored a hat-trick to help Chelsea win 3-1 over Luton in the fourth round of the English FA Cup, at home, here, just now.
The second season of managing Chelsea, Lampard struggled to avoid being sacked after a poor performance in the English Premier League (EPL).
Being knocked out of the FA Cup at the hands of the Championship League was a disgrace and put Lampard in danger, but Abraham’s brilliant performance gave his manager a much-needed breath.
Abraham scored twice in the first half before Jordan Clark closed the gap for Luton after a mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Luton sparked a few anxious moments for Lampard, before Abraham scored the third goal to confirm Chelsea’s progress to the last 16 against Barnsley.
